The Summer 2022 - A Cauldron of Transformation: How are you using the fire in your life experience to fuel your own transformation?

So, this morning (really a week ago) in meditation I was reflecting on fire. Yes, more fire. It seems to be everywhere I look, and every conversation has some reference to fire. I have the sensation and feeling tone of Houston in August…yet it is still May. It is hot and irritating outside; people are on edge. There is a grittiness to things. They aren’t flowing smoothly but rubbing a little rough, kind of like the supply chain issues COVID seems to be causing, and we can view these events in part as fire or inflammation in the body. There is a war going on… literally people setting fire to things, and we have economic uncertainty.

So, yes, it is A LOT, a lot of fire.

BUT we are in MAY!! This is supposed to be Spring; a time of birth, renewal, blossoming! So, I propose to you that this is not the fire of death and destruction- although things are ending. You are letting go, and sometimes things seem a little apocalyptic - don’t fall for the hype - this is the fire of creation, transformation, refinement.

How can you use this container of summertime to step into and welcome the intensity that comes with the fire of transformation?

I do believe that we are at the start of another intense period, so I encourage you to take some time, get clear, identify what IS important to you and what practices/tools you have to keep you clear and connected with your highest and best good, your purpose and your gifts. And if you don’t have the right tools to do that - NOW IS THE TIME TO cultivate them!!!

For me, looking to the Goddess for guidance when working with the fire of creation is a valuable and fruitful endeavor. How can we learn from mother earth to work with this energy of fire in a new way?

The elements of water, rest, dance (joyful movement), and delight in the beauty of your own heart seems key to me in this process. It is the blending and weaving of these elements into the process that sustain you and nourish your body and spirit, while in the intensity of the cauldron.

And here is the scariest part: We step into the fire not knowing who we will be when we emerge. We surrender to the process of transformation, letting go of control and knowing, so that we may be free to become who we are meant to be and lead us into the world we are creating!!

If you want the world to change, you must allow yourself to change and transform with it. I look around and see so clearly that there is so much that still needs to change. That means that we must each dive deeply, let go, and allow those old patterns, belief structures, safe elements to be transformed in the fire so that we can freely welcome in this new way of being.

Let me be clear - this is happening. You can consciously take part, delightfully dancing in the flames of the fire OR unconsciously become consumed by the flames of anger, frustration, rage, and destruction. We are humans and have free will. It is your choice!!
