Are you feeling like you SHOULD move forward, but your are tired unmotivated and overwhelemed? REST MORE, nurture yourself!

During the time between Arbor Day and Mother’s Day I really got the message that we need to mother ourselves. Mothers are the birthers of life. They nurture life and yet they so often feel pulled in a million directions, tired, underappreciated and truly disrespected by the current system we operate within. As a result, all those qualities and activities that are required to nurture life and birth new things or new life are undervalued and often received little respect

So what if you started to value those things in your life? What if you began to value rest, nurishment, reflection time, quiet time, time in nature, time in water, going slow, being patient, thoughtful and considerate of your own needs and that of others? What might that look like for you? How might that feel?

I have noticed in my clients that there is a sense of urgency or need to do things, solve things, figure things out or just be more productive. AND many of my clients I have at least one major lifechange going on and many have more than one. There is just A LOT of life happening all at once, which means as humans we need way more down time, reflection time, rest, and processing time.

We are all a part of this rebirthing process - we aren’t going back, we are going through. The tools from before are not the same tools that will serve you going forward. We are in a rebirthing process so we need to embrace, embody, honor and respect the energy of the mother. How can you learn to mother yourself more fully and how can you learn to work with this nurtining tending supportive energy of the Great Mother?

We have a full moon eclipse on May 15/16, 2022. Of course it is a perfect reflection of what is happening in our world - we often associate full moons with celebration, fruition, outward shining and full expression. These are often the same attributes given to Spring time…we have a sense of outward expression and festiveness. Yet this full moon is eclipsed and placed in shadow indicating a time of reflection, of readjustment, of letting go of what is not working. This moment seems appropriate to slow down, reflect on what is thriving and what isn’t, what old ways are no longer working and need to change or be let go of completely. How do we bring in more mothering energy into your experience?

In moving with this time and honoring yourself and the Great Mother take some time this weekend:

What would be the MOST nurturing thing you can do for yourself?

In working with one of my clients she commented…I think I will ask what I would do for my son instead. So if you need to be creative in finding your access to mothering energy do so. And of course do the MOST nurturing thing you could do for yourself!

Also take some time to reflect what is THRIVING and what isn’t?

What is the easiest way to let go of what is not working? And do it!
